Yeah, so this doesn’t update frequently, but I’ve been lately listening way too much to Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, and the readership (aside from you legions of spambots) is nearly zero.

I guess the underlying purpose of this is to immortalize the ephemeral design this site currently has. It makes this page automatically dated, and since I was willing to defend one of my “contribution”‘s own existence with some terrible restatement of the ontological argument, there is no valid moral reason for me not to attempt making this some deep and profound reflection on how fleeting everything is.

For example, it’s a reflection of the current state of the web. HTML5: @font-face, border-radius and box-shadow. Browsers render it the way it is because that’s the way it should look like according to the eyes of the W3C. It’s not augmented reality. It’s gray and a copy of the silverii theme for comicpress. People still use PHP, WordPress, and MySQL. RSS isn’t dead yet. It’s still socially accepted to be meta.

And to break the one sacred rule of “no xkcd references”, “being meta is not a crime” and neither is “stating that ‘being meta is not a crime’ is not a crime”.

And maybe that little fact of life, that everything always ends with a derpwhal.

Imagine for a second, and hopefully longer, the greatest possible comic that can be read. Since you can conceive that such a creation exists, it therefore must exist. And since it must exist, it might as well be the artistic creation which you behold presently as it might as well have a self referential description using the ontological argument to vainly justify its own existence.
